Mei Liming visits Namibia and South Africa  
  A 6-member delegation of CELAJ led by the executive vice president of CELAJ Mei Liming visited Namibia and South Africa from Aug. 6 to 13, 2017.
  During the trip in South Africa, the delegation successively visited the Headquarter of South African Communist Party (ASCP), the Headquarter of African National Congress (ANC), South African Academy of Governance, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of South Africa, Consulate-general of the Republic of China in Cape Town and Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Johannesburg.
The first deputy secretary of ASCP Solly Mapaila and member of the Central Committee of ASCP Grace Parapiri met with the delegation, introducing the just-concluded 14th National Congress of ASCP and the co-governance with ANC, hoping that CPC and Chinese Government keep helping and supporting South Africa, and expressed the hope of making in-depth cooperation and communication with CELAJ. Mei Liming introduced the cadre training at CELAJ to them, and illustrated that the Chinese people are fully implementing the “Four Comprehensively” strategic layout by uniting closely around the Central Committee with President Xi Jinping as the core.
  When in ANC, the delegation met with the Executive Member of Central Committee of ANC Ms Miriam Saohatse and the Coordinator of International Department of ANC Tsioane. Both sides exchanged the idea of cadre training and long friendship of China and South Africa and expressed the hope of further cooperation on training. Mei Liming pointed out that China is undergoing a new great historical development stage. The Chinese people are working hard to realize the Chinese dream of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and two Centenary Goals in accordance with the requirement of “Four Comprehensively” Strategy layout and the five development concept under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core. The development of China will benefit the people all over the world, including African.
  Mei Liming met with the President of South African Academy of Governance Richard Levin and exchanged ideas on the cooperation issues of development history of the two academies, discipline construction, cadre training, science and technology research, course design, cooperation and exchange and financial support.
The delegation met with the ambassador Lin Tiansong, the consul general Kang Yong in Cape Town and the consul general Yuan Ping in Johannesburg, introducing to them the exchange with foreign political Party and the training of diplomatic envoy at CELAJ.
  The delegation held talks with Professor S Seduim at Management College of Southern Africa.
During the trip in Namibia, the delegation visited the headquarter and the Party School of South West African People's Organisation(SWAPO) Party. The General-secretary of SWAPO Party Nangolo Mbumba met with the delegation. Mbumba welcomed the delegation and introduced the preparation of the 6th National Congress of SWAPO, as well as the building and training at the Party School, and expressed the hope of further cooperation on cadre training. Mei Liming expressed thanks to the advice and suggestions given by Mbumba and presented some learning material to him. At the invitation of SWAPO Party, Mei Liming made a report on China’s Development and its Revelation to Africa. Inspired by the report, all the SWAPO Party members shouted “Long live SWAPO, Long live CPC.”
  Mei Liming made a Party report on Carrying Forward Jinggangshan Spirit to about 50 Party members from the Party branch of the embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Namibia, the representatives of Chinese funded institutions, and Confucius Institute, illustrating Jinggangshan spirit with Jinggangshan revolution history and introducing the basic information of CELAJ. Mei urged the participants to learn and implement the spirit of the speech delivered by President Xi Jinpin on Jul. 26, and make greater contribution to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
